tripods are a lot like camera bags in that the one you have is never
quite right. So you always end up with several. I have 4 tripods at
the moment, plus several bean bags.

If your main use is going to be urban then you might consider
something like a Leitz table-top tripod with ball head. This is my
most used tripod. It's useful in an urban setting because you can
almost always find somewhere suitable where you can position it at
eye-level. And if not is works very well as a shoulder stock for extra
support.
