I have a friend who does photography for hire (he doesn't like photography,
he just wants to make money doing it -- I know, that's kinda wierd) who
bought one of those zooms, and he's had nothing but problems with it. He may
have gotten a really bad sample, but it has had numerous repairs and has
always been SERIOUSLY unsharp at the 105 end. He still uses it, though,
because he's too cheap to buy a new lens. Ditto for his C*&^$ cameras that
break all the time.
