That's true Shel but what about the seller doesn't
he/she deserve a 'fair shake' as it were.  They have
chosen to sell their item in an auction to get the
best price.  Many of the photographic items we buy,
and based on your statements I think you and I agree
on what quality is, cannot be easly found anywhere
else.  I like a bargan as much as the next man but if
someone on the list want's an item more than I do
they'll out bid me.  Truely I believe that I took
better photographs when my entire kit consisted of a
Spotmatic 1000 with 55mm f2.0, 150mm f4, both
Takumars, and an off brand 28mm f2.8.  Yes there were
types of photography that were more difficult but I
think I 'saw' better, if you get my meaning.  That's
where the avarace comes in.  I don't realy 'need' the
equipment but something in my soul wants it.  The only
question is how many lenses can you use at one time.
