On another list, there was a discussion about eBay.  I found out
that if I hold off bidding on something because a friend or
group member is bidding on it then, technically speaking, I am
breaking the law because I am conspiring to limit the amount the
seller will get for his item.  The kicker is that this is no
mere misdemeanor, it is a felony offense.

E-mail lives forever, in one archive or another, so I would
recommend that we never say anything about who in our group is
bidding on something, lest someone accuse us of trying to fix
the auction.

If we have a lawyer in the group, some advice would be
appreciated.
