Almost certainly bullshit. Possibly due to the similar looks of Limited and those
Voigtlander lenses and the fact that the FA 100/3.5 Macro is made by Cosina.
The 43 and 77 Limited are designed by Mr. Hirakawa who is chief in the Asahi reserch
and development center. He also designs most (all?) the FA* lenses. The 31 Limited is
not his work but I have no reason to suspect that its made outside Pentax. In
addition, it was explicitly said at the launch of the 43 Limited that it hand-made in
Pentax own factories.
I also doubt that the "fact" that Cosina makes the Limited lenses are well known in
Japan, since I've never heard it before.
