Hi Sid ...
A good option is an older Omega D-2V or D-2VXL. They can make
large prints on the baseboard (the XL can make VERY large prints
<g>), and can be used for floor projection as well. The
variable condenser allows the use of numerous formats, and the
thing is built like a tank. Go here for more details:

Harry's prices are a little high, but his information is
accurate, his quality is good, and he does have the goods. He's
a great source for parts and supplies, too. These enlargers come
up on ebay frequently, and can be found in any number of shops
specializing in older equipment. Newer versions, such as the D5
series, are much more expensive than even Harry's prices.
FWIW, I've an Omega D-2V and a Beseler 23C-II with a dichroic
head.
And don't skimp on enlarging lenses. El Nikors, Schneider
Componons, and Rodenstock Rodagons are all good, but check each
lens before buying it. There are often enough variations in
lens quality that it can make a difference in the quality of the
prints - especially large prints.
