Of course, but with rare exceptions using wider than normal
focal lengths is not recommended. Darmed if I can recall where
I got that information - I know one source was a comment that
Ctein made on the photo list on Compuserve some time back, but I
also read it in a few places. Enlarging lenses are optimized
for a particular range of magnification and working distance
from the baseboard.
That said, there's a wide angle (not just a shorter focal
length) made by Rodenstock that is one of the few exceptions to
the rule. It's the Rodagon WA, however, the lens is
specifically formulated for the purpose, as opposed to just
using a shorter focal length to get greater magnification on the
baseboard.
