Not off the top of my head but I'll look around today (lots of errands
first).  There wouldn't be a utility program as such, it would be whatever
graphics program you're using.  The essential difference AFAIK is Gamma -
most PC screens are at 2.2 or 2.5 gamma (depending on who you read - my
factory settings are at gamma 2.5), whereas monitors calibrated for graphics
are tailored for print and have lower gamma - my program (Corel PhotoPaint)
says 1.8 gamma so that's what I have it set for, but I have seen other
recommendation as well.  So when I switched back and for Shel's scan the
grass changed from black to moss green, and the tree leaves from black to
reddish.

It would probably be merely a lightening of the tone curve to optimize for a
web 'profile' so to speak.
