I never even thought of that - I'm so used to using the body controls
on my PZ-1p to set the aperture that I forgot the aperture display
goes away if I adjust the aperture using the ring on the lens.

I don't think I'd be happy using a body without this feature as my
primary body.

(My MX manages to display shutter speed and aperture, even with
 lenses without an "A" setting.   I've always thought that was
 a particularly smart idea, even if it doesn't work all that well
 under very low lighting).
