Suggest you look at a modified Bogen 3221 - modified to go flat. Each of the
three leg stop castings is machined - effectively allowing the legs to go
flat (parallel to the ground). I have one I use alot, it was modified by
Kirk. I think using a table tripod with long lenses could cause a problem
with tipping. The longer legs of the Bogen add to stability also.
