Pushing to me means increasing the speed of a film when I have no other
option to increase shutter speeds. The optical losses as a consequence are
far less problematic than the lack of a printable image and since I rarely push
film in optimum conditions the losses are generally negligible in any case.:-)
So pushing is an option for me and from experience 800 Supra does fine at
ISO1600.
