Hi,

once i pick this lense up i will have a smilar auto focus kit... F28-80, F70-210 and F50/F1.7.

I already have a Sigma 28-80 AF lense, but the build quality feels very poor and the flare is terrible. i also doubt you could find a worse lense to manually focus....

Yes, it will make a nice companion to your F70-210, another terrific lens.  I've got the FA28-70/4 as I said earlier but also have the F35-70 as the companion to my F70-210. Those two zooms plus an F 50/1.7 make up my kit for my SF-10.  I had thought about the F28-80 as another option but decided to stick with the 35-70 as the flash coverage on my SF-10 is only good to 35mm.  I suppose I wanted to keep my F series lenses and SF body in historical perspective, plus I've already got 28mm covered!

PS -- If you're interested, KEH has several 28-70/4AL's on their website right now

Great, thanks for the info. I think i'll pick the one up that i have my eye on :) on www.photodo.com it gets the same rating as the FA Zoom 28-70/4 AL. Not bad, but i'd still prefer the 28-70/4 AL

IT should make a good companion for my F 70-210/4-5.6.
