Scott, I don't have a "good" 2xTC, so this is the opinion of the poor folk. I do have a Tamron 2x (4 element) and a Tokina 2x (7 element) and the Vivitar. I'd pick the Vivitar any day of the week. The built-in extension is useful, and it's well made, and it gives me pleasing shots.
