The adjustment Steve is got to do with the G1's ability to have parallax correction for the lens (as far as I know). If B&H is selling it with the 35mm then it is likely "corrected" already.
You can verify this by checking in the film loading compartment - there should be a green sticker in there which would suggest that it has been "fixed" for the 35mm lens.
