For some reason this got me to thinking about the brand new Vivitar
80-205mm f/3.8 lens I recently got as part of a kit purchase from eBay!
A Pentax camera body, three lenses, two of them Pentax, as many TCs, a
small flash (Sunpak GX24) etc. All I wanted was the body...but wait,
there's more!
Notice the constant aperture! Usually found on more expensive lenses.

I was instantly thinking about unloading it on eBay but then...why not
try it for myself... An aperture of f/3.8 isn't all that bad, truth be
known. Most "Normal' lenses used to be f/3.5, if you recall. Not bad
at all.

So, I've talked myself into NOT selling it right away. I know nothing
about the lens, I can find no reports on it, but maybe I got lucky and
got a 'Wednesday' lens, well fitted, hand adjusted and the like! You suppose?

I should be so lucky! ;^)
