Thanks Mat. Just a quick look tells me that my options are the new Pentax,
keep my Kiron, or buy a used one.  So far the only used ones I have found
are older large lenses similar to what I have.  And it is an f4 fixed
aperture too. I don't like the f4-5.6 of the Pentax but flad to hear you
like it. Might end up with one latter on.

I have the Pentax 80-200 f4-5.6 manual zoom lens. It is a two-touch
zoom, but I actually find that I prefer that. For its size and weight it
works very well. I have pictures that I've taken with it that I can
point you at if you like. One nice thing is that it has a 49mm filter
thread that matches most of my other (cheap) pentax lenses.

If you really want a two-touch zoom, there are a couple of older models
that will probably fit the bill. Unfortunately, I don't own them.
I do have a Tokina 80-200 f2.8, but light it is not...
