I just did a "double take" on your post, Dave. Are you referring to
the "exquisite beauty" of the SF1/SFX ?
Personally, I find the appearance of something like a KX or and ME
Super or (especially) an LX to be rather beautiful. And, until I
started learning about the merits of the SF1/SFX (and of the nicely
improved SF1n/SFXn), I tended to not care at all for the looks of
these "ergonomic" (?) bodies. However, as of late, I've had some
fun playing with an SFX and an SFXn, and I've learned to respect
them ("functional styling" and all) a lot more. (But, no, I'm not
trading in my LX's - <g>.)
