I'd go with that -- something good for wild life photography that would not also break 
the bank. I am hampered by the fact I am not sure what lenses they currently make (so 
many old ones floating around and being a novice, et. all.). 

Or a FA 300 2.8 for 35mm.

They may have that.

But point is moot, probably both would be outside my price range -- unless I could 
find them used.

I've been looking at old manual primes in those focal lengths. Look heavy. Heavy is 
less and less attractive.
