FA* 70/80-200/210 1:4 ED [IF]
Key features:
- A*200/4 style removable tripod adaptor (forget the too-big-for-any-bags tripod adaptor)
- F*300/4.5 style built-in hood (forget the stay-at-home-oversize hood)
- 67mm filter thread
- regular FA lens style window frame (no more peel off)
- power-zoom-less (lighter & cheaper)
- fixed front element (zoom or focus)
- engraved aperture ring digits (like pre-FA lenses)
- better grip for aperture ring (means re-design actually)
- almost round shape 9 aperture blades (like 77/1.8)
- must be plenty sharp at wide open on both end (not f8)
- engraved hyper focal scale (means one touch zoom)
- better seal from dust under the focus & zoom rings
regards,
Alan Chan
Okay, time for a group question.
If you could direct Pentax to make and market one lens it currently does not
make, what would it be?
(Focal length, max aperture range, MF or AF, for what camera, imaging
characteristics you'd want, and any other special qualities or
specifications you want to mention.)
