Yes, there is a vast difference in quality. Especially in those Japanese and American cars that are assembled on the same factory in California such as the Chevrolet Malibu and the Toyota Avalon. Also everybody knows the Nissan SUV is better than the Ford SUV that is built in the same plant in Michigan. Then the S-10 pickup is clearly inferior to the Isuzu PUP that is assembled by the same people on the same assembly line. Yes indeed those Japanse automobiles are much better than that American junk.
The real fact is the successful Japanese sent their kids to American Universities to get their MBAs. There they learned about bottom line management where employees are just another component to keep a just in time stock of. I am glad to say that that worked very well. Those kids are now running the Japaneseas companies, and the Japanese economy is in worse shape than ours. I understand they are about to adopt tickle down economics, and will soon have a very large welfare population. This economic theory has worked well for us. There are more people making over $100,000/year than ever before. There are more people making less than $10,000 than ever before. And there are less people inbetween to pay the taxes than ever before. GWB's speach seems to have achived its intended purpose as gasoline prices around here jumped 10 cents a gallon yesterday.
