Hi Peter,
Is there no governing body or organisation for pro's in your country? Around
here you have to join the PPSA (Professional Photographers of Southern
Africa) to get that status. To join you have to have a 3 year technikon
diploma or have served under a registered pro as an appie. You still have to
submit a portfolio of your work as well. You can't just go around telling
people you are a pro. Oh and you get to charge "pro" prices as well.

To get dealership on any product is easy. All you do is go to the
distributor and sign up as a dealer and they give you that kind of prices.
I've bought computers, cameras, cell phones this way and re-sold them. Never
heard of anybody giving one away though.
