Seems to me that it's a Golden Rule thing - you know, "do unto others"
and all that.

Funny, but I've never seen one person post, saying, "Here's the url for
an auction that I'm bidding on.  Feel free to join the bidding!"

And, I don't think that it's a censorship issue, really.  One can, of
course, post anything they want, at any time.  That person will not be
banished from the list or receive any other sanction from the powers
that be.  He may be rebuked by other list members, who after all, are
only exercising their rights to free speech as well.
