Well, FWIW, I don't see a problem with JCO doing business on eBay. I see loads of auctions where he is a low bidder, then gets out to let others bid ~way~ higher than his early bid.
Lots of people and businesses make money on eBay. If he can get a lens cheap, and sell it high, more power to him. If people don't like it, well, I guess they can do the same. Look, I'm Mr. Left-wing-Socialist-Capitalism-Is-Evil-Guy. But, eBay is one place where pure laissez-faire caveat emptor capitalism works very well. If someone has figured out a way to indulge in his hobby (ie: pick up a few lenses), and make a few bucks on lenses or bodies that he picks up cheap but doesn't need for himself, where is the harm? Who's being hurt? At least I'd feel confident buying a lens from him, knowing that the description and condition of the lens will be accurate. If the price is too high, I just won't bid. I think that's the way eBay works, no? I say, "You go, JCO!" cheers, frank Keith Whaley wrote: > Nope, not me, William. I don't denigrate sharks, either.
