Since I have worked most of my life on straight commission of one kind 
or another, I don't begrudge ebay for the payment it receives for 
services rendered.  I have also found that many buyers like to pay with 
PayPal and I, therefore, have more bidders on the items I have for 
sale.  I figure that more bidders and higher prices more that offset 
the additional 3% to PayPal.  

You might do well to remember an old saying that a general manager that 
I worked for often said, "Pigs get fed, but hogs get butchered."  It's 
ok to want a little more, but you can die trying to get it all.
