If sensors can't develop past the theoretical end game of X megapixels, then many of these companies had better start developing other products as they will surely go broke. Thom Hogans article said similar things about the future (or lack thereof) of Kodak.
The bottom line is that I don't really consider it too foolish to think about the future a little and what it may bring. Other people who have the technical and financial resources at their disposal do the same thing...only they call it R&D, and the results of their foolishness are called INNOVATION.
