The K 85 1.8 is the same lens as the SMCT 85 1.8 and both are superb. The 85 1.9 takumar was available as both a super-tak and and a SMCT but without the usual cam on the SMC tak. Also great lenses but not as good wide open as the 85 1.8 K or SMCT. I cant comment on the M85 2, never used it but I doubt that its a dog, Pentax hasnt made many dog lenses. JCO
