And you base this prediction on what? Based on the fact that Pentax has 7 film bodies in production based on two chassis, and, well we have P�l's word for the fact that Pentax will be cutting the film camera line back to 3 models. Why wouldn't they make at least 3 different Digital models.
I predict that Pentax will have at least two Digital models probably three based on their recent strategy of differentiating for the market.

From what I can see, Pentax would more likely to produce one DSLR only in any given time period, and it would be a mid-end model which suits most advance amateurs, not professional. Just like they didn't try to compete with F5 or EOS1, there is not much reason for them to compete in the high end DSLR field either. I think the 6MP version we see now will likely to be the only Pentax DSLR for quite some time, until the next upgrade.
