The best sounding system I've ever heard was a set of Rotel monoblocks wired up with van den hul "The First", Rotel at least in this country comes standard with monster cable which is pretty good and yes you can hear the difference when you upgrade. Granted you have to change the wiring between the systems components as well as the speaker cables which were B&W 600's I think. Changing your speaker cable is similar to trying different brands of film, each adds a different colour to the sound/image and its really a case of try before you buy. You really wouldn't use samsung 35mm film because you bought a samsung camera would you?
