How can a person take ~personal~ achievement so frivolously? Whatever your
(my) take on a Ph.D., the person earning it is perceived to have added ~new~
knowledge to the (entire) body of world knowledge, no mean feat.
I'll be eternally jealous of those who hold such distinction.
Or was the comment immediately below meant to be a joke?
