How do your carve an Elephant?
Simple: you cut away everything that doesn't ~look~ like an Elephant...if,
that is, one can see an "elephant" in their photos; just keep cutting and
cutting...

Since your post I decided to search some information about him. Avoiding
any discussion on the merits of cropping or not, some of his pictures --- at
least those that I could see http://www.porto.art.br/bresson/ --- are just
"not Croppable"!:) >>
