Vuescan is not available for PIE scanners either, but there's a Minolta scanner out there everyone is raving about that costs about US $300, and perhaps Vuescan supports that.
Silverfast does support PIE scanners, and I'm not sure, fooling with the various SF demos, if I love it or hate it.
