In light of L-L-L's request for info about decent bulk roll scanners, I'd like to defend the PIE PrimeFilm 3600Pro scanner:
It can bulk scan 4 to 40 frames via firewire and can create 8- or 16-bit files. You can perform corrections individually or on selected frames (1 to all) quite rapidly. It is possibly the fastest scanner out there, and the twain driver has a small RAM footprint. You do not need to buy a separate gizmo to bulk scan. The only gripe I have is noise in dark areas of slide film.
