Hi all.
It cost me about $30.00 plus taxes and 1 sheet of Ilford Classic Pearl, but i decided
to do
an
experiment between a scan from the 2450 and an interneg done of the same subject, just
to
see what
if any is superior/cheaper etc.
Subject was the 35mm slide picture i linked to two weeks ago after our 8 month olf
kitten,Gord,lost the
battle of the SUV.
The local pro lab did the interneg into 120 format(6x6) and an 8x10 print.I scanned the
slide at 2450 and
printed out a 5x7 on the Pearl.
Other than my background a tad darker, not a whole lot of difference. The colour on the
interneg print is
pretty good but the subject a tad soft for what the slide shows.
On the other had the scan colours are close too,but subject a bit soft. Now i did do two
different size
prints,so this may be the difference, but the scan seems a few % better in the soft
department.
Hope that helps anyone thinking of the 2450 or the 3200 for home use.
I'm sure i can get a better print from either Brendan's or Aaron's Polaroid scanners
which
i think are in
the 4000 dpi range.
