It seems that some are and some are not, but the majority are the same. 
Compare the number of elements and groups as indicated in Boz's site, 
and you can pretty much determine the pairings.

the 28mm 3.5 smc m42 optically equals the 28mm 3.5 smc k versions
the 135mm 2.5 smc m42 = 135mm smc k?????
