Amita, if it's just a light spray, you have done well. If the camera got so wet that the spray clotted together to form larger drops, it's possible that the water has penetrated into the camera and lens.
I have been photographing in salt spray many times with my Z-1, and it has had no ill effects from it. Two months ago my 645NII was treated to some rough weather also, and I have seen no problems from it yet. The amount of spray on my gear has always been too little to combine into drops, though...
