You can't remove (by disassembling the lens, not by cutting it) the aperture lever? Just curious... I know that, if possible, for some lenses this could be easy but for others real pita.

I guess so, although the lens would loose open aperture metering on other bodies. I don't know if this modification is easy and cheap to do for a technician. Maybe even a handyman (or handywoman) can do it quite easily with proper instructions.
