Hi All,
I have actually been able to get time to 'burn some film' and I
must admit the feeling was great!
We had a local carnival with all day events (Displays, strongest man
etc).I took the LX and really enjoyed using it.
Normally I use colour neg film (for every day snaps etc), but I love B&W
and when I shoot with B&W I usually use FP4 or HP5.
I have been trying to find some example of other B&W films but I have
not found any web site that show the same thing in the photo so as to be
able to compare the various films (FP4/T-max/Tri-x etc).Does anyone know
of a site that has such a thing?
I know that I should get a roll of each and do some tests myself (I have
tested the Delta range and found them very good), but at the moment I
have precious little time to shoot at all and I would be interested in
hearing other peoples comparisons.
I am not after 'This is the best and the rest are crap', no what I am
after is examples of there characteristics with a picture of some thing
(anything!)
Done with diff films so that I could see the characteristics that are
being discussed.
I know that this is a lot of work but I am surprised that I cant find
anyone that has done this anywhere on the net.
Not even on the film makers sites.
Can anyone help?
I am sorry if I am putting this badly but it is one of those things that
I know what I am after but not sure EXACTLY how to say.
Alan
