I'm surprised no one has mentioned keyless entry. I first thought it was a frivolous option but quickly realized it was great for runners, photog's etc. who leave their car in places away from home and are out and about with an opportunity to loose the keys. It's available in the states on a lot of new cars and provides a keypad on the driver's door numbered from 1 to 10 on 5 keys. The vehicles come with a code from the factory and you can program it for your own set of numbers, up to 5 or so digits. I set my code to an easily remembered number and hide the ignition key somewhere in the interior.
