I can keep JavaScript turned off for general surfing and have it automatically switched on for sites that I trust. I haven't seen a pop-up for years because I use Proxomitron. This user-configurable web proxy lets you customize just about anything regarding your web browsing experience. I have mine set to defeat frames, prevent links from opening new browser windows *and* stop JavaScript pop-ups (even on pages where I allow JavaScript to run). http://www.proxomitron.info/ -- Mark Roberts Photography and writing www.robertstech.com
