Hi Kostas,

Thanks for the info and the link to the site regarding flash types. That was a great site. Very informative. Thank you. Okay, here is another question. I was taking a shot of my father in his woodworking shop. There was flourescent lighting. The lowlighting alert came on inside the lens. I thought, okay, so I popped up the built in flash that sits on top of the camera. It didn't flash. I tried adjusting the aperture setting but it still didn't flash. So I opened it up all the way hoping that enough light would allow me to at least get a photo out of it anyway. Well, the photo with the lens all the way open worked, but not as well as when the flash should have worked. That is the main problem right there that I am having.

I do need a new flash though...I had two flashes. the Sunpak and a Vivitar. the Vivitar was ruined when I moved and forgot to take the batteries out of the flash. The flash was boxed for a year. When I finally got to unpacking it a couple of days ago...well, let's just say that I'm still trying to open that dang battery compartment. Not to mention that there was battery crystals all over the outside. Ruined? LOL.

If I had wanted to put up with "high maintenance" I would have married a primadonna with a Harley.
