Or change their tools of abuse. Make it more difficult for them. I personally believe changing parameters may make people think more and lower misuse and abuse. I.E. Like updating history books to be more inclusive. I think all that type of stuff works. I know when I was growing up feminists were just about NOT in history books. You know, the movement that got women the vote in the US. Another parameter that changed a bit. And those changes do not happen all by themselves -- people have to push for them. And changed parameters do affect people, ergo, change people. In fact, language is one of the basic places to start in changing people's thinking.
