Nice shots of your little King.
It's been a long time since I did this, as my youngest is 18 now, but you did good. Bathtub photos get all kinds of crazy reflections off the water when you use flash. I don't see any of these in your photos.
I think you tried too hard and got too even/indirect lighting of the scene. I'd try less lights, less bounce flash and more direct flash... just get the flash up and away from the lens by 5 or 6 inches.
You might also have the wife help while you fiddle with the camera and flash as the tub does still pose some dangers to the child and Mom & Son pictures are always welcome!
