The M50/2 was the conceptual replacement for the 55/2. Unlike the 55 lenses there are actual optical differences between the f2 and f1.7 lenses.

The M50/1.7 didn't exactly replace any particular K lens, did it?
Perhaps it could count as replacing the 55/1.8 but I really think the conceptual replacement for that is the M 50/2.
