Not only did I not notice a difference with negative OR slide film, but when I 
took my camera to the repair shop (since it had never been CLA'd and I wanted 
to be sure the metering was OK before doing some film comparison tests) and 
asked for the metering and shutter accuracy to be checked, I was informed both 
were "spot on" -- and the Beattie screen was in there.

Now, just to be difficult, since the error is so slight that *I* might have 
missed it (you say), are *you* quite sure it's actually there?
