The *istD has made its way to Dallas. Wolf Camera (a local version of Ritz) has just got them in. The store (where I was having work done on my AF500FTZ) I just came from received several.
After my explaining that I couldn't actually aford to buy one now, the clerk quite willingly showed off the camera. He was happily learning about it as he showed it to me. We were both really impressed with the overall feeling and how it operated in your hand. He's the type of clerk that makes you want to go to a camera store - over thirty years of experience with SLRs. Still loves the Konicas that he's had since the 1970s. Knows about Canon and Nikon, but is truly impressed by Pentax glass. He's got a PZ-1 that he uses on shoots. Often the people he's with covering the same events are impressed by the quality of his photos. People like him are a reason to not buy everything on the web. Larry
