you are kidding, right? i am almost envisioning a "large, mostly empty" highway from Boston to NYC ( i guess that should count for "major towns", eh? ).
I-95 that is. last time i went there (a few weeks ago), i got stuck in traffic for almost two hours between stamford and pelhams. at 11pm. and the same on the way back.
