Cotty, New batteries have their shelf life extended by storing them in cooler temperatures.
I had a friend who was moving and wanted me to dispose of the batteries at a recycler on base. For fun I went through the bag of batteries with my checker and found maybe 10% of them to be bad. So with my new supply of batteries that I could not use in a short time I decided to put them in the fridge. The pile has dwindled down a bit, but still quite a few in there... These are not the rechargeable types, they are all alkilines I believe. Some free time this weekend - and knowing full well that this has probably already been answered - but since the query was addressed to me I figured I would respond. 200+ messages left, and counting, Cesar Panama City, Florida -- -----Original Message----- -- From: Cotty [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] -- Sent: Friday, October 17, 2003 1:51 PM -- -- On 17/10/03, [EMAIL PROTECTED] disgorged: -- -- >It did surprise my parents when they -- >looked at my refrigerator and noted how much of the space -- was taken up by -- >film and batteries... -- -- Cesar, you keep batteries in the fridge?? -- -- Can you tell me why? -- -- -- Cheers, -- Cotty -- -- -- ___/\__ -- || (O) | People, Places, Pastiche -- ||=====| www.macads.co.uk/snaps -- _____________________________ -- Free UK Mac Ads www.macads.co.uk --
