Depends on how they measure it, or what they're measuring. The 10D will lock on very quickly, but once it hits a certain light level, it's screwed. It just can't lock under a certain light level. The Pentax will continue to hunt at this light level (and below) and will eventually lock on. In a nutshell, the 10D seems faster to me, but the Pentax is more tenacious. :) tv
