It's amazing how much difference of opinion there is on these two cameras. Probably since they are both great cameras. I have owned both and wish I still did, but I had to sell one for financial reasons. I chose to keep the MZ-S and I do not regret that decision in the least. I have the battery grip, which improves battery use and overall feel of the camera. I don't think you could be disappointed in either camera, but I do prefer the MZ-S overall.
