>I recently bought a set of 109mm filters. I think they are Kodak and made
for the aero ektars. I got red, yellow, orange, and "clear". I am wondering
if the clear is actually a UV filter.
Does anyone know of a way to test to tell UV glass from clear glass?
TIA,
JCO

Take pictures with it. Long distance, landscape shots. I once used a good UV
filter on a SMC Pentax lens. Also took pictures without the filter. Big color
shift, those with the filter removed the blue haze that often occurs in the
distance.

Other than that, no.

Marnie aka Doe But I am pretty sure that is not what you meant. :-) I now
put a UV filter on all my lenses. I shoot landscapes fairly often.
